In February, Tan attended the Spring Festival Celebration Party held by CCTV, the Gala concert for the Chinese Spring Festival held by the Ministry of Culture and CCTV respectively and the Double Supports evening party.

In February, Tan went to perform in Indonesia together with the Song and Dance Troupe of the PLA.

In May, Tan filmed the MTV Heart to Heart Talk and attended performances for the first- front medial workers in the fight against SARS in Xiaotangshan Hospital together with the Song and Dance Troupe of the PLA and the Bureau of Cultural Affairs in Beijing.

In September, Tan sang Seven Colors Glitter at the opening ceremony of the 7th Sports Game of National Minorities.

In October, Tan filmed the MTV Dreams Come True to celebrate the successful lifting off of the manned space craft Shenzhou 5.
